Electrical air conditioner
The SKIMO is an electrical air conditioner designed for machines with little free space available inside the cab or in the engine compartment.
High-performance, compact, easy to install and can be adapted to suit most machines. The SKIMO electrical air conditioner does not require a compressor to be fitted on the vehicle engine.

SKIMO, a monobloc air conditioner, is an electrical solution whose compressor is integrated into the unit. Thus avoiding the constraints of an installation and a connection in the motor part.

SKIMO has been designed and assembled to air condition vehicles and vehicles with:
- little space on the roof and / or cabin,
- a small displacement engine,
- a narrow engine compartment

Simplified installation
SKIMO monobloc air conditioners do not require much time for installation and commissioning.
Indeed, the air conditioners of the range offer:
- easy mounting and fixing,
- a simple electrical connection.
In addition they are delivered pre-charged with refrigerant R134a.
Tests and technical trials
Before its introduction to the market, the SKIMO air conditioner has undergone various tests and trials reproducing its operating conditions to validate its performance.
All SKIMO units undergo testing to validate their performance.
Our range SKIMO has a 2-year warranty
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from incorrect operation of the BORA, especially in the following situationsSKIMO, en particulier dans les cas suivants :
- Operation in wet environments
- Operation in a high salinity environment
- Operation in a high acidity environment
- High-pressure washing and/or use of detergents
Reduced surface area required
The reinforced structure enables SKIMO to be mounted on a rounded roof or even in a "cantilevered” overhang position. In both situations, the maximum overhang distance is 25 cm.

Tests
The SNDC test chamber reproduces the outside temperature and sunshine. SKIMO has been tested at 3 temperature levels for a cab volume of 2.5 m3:
- an outside temperature of 31°C is maintained for 60 minutes
- an outside temperature of 41°C is maintained for 180 minutes
- an outside temperature of 41°C is maintained for 60 minutes
The SKIMO air conditioning system only starts up after the temperature inside the test booth chamber has stabilised. Throughout the tests, the cab is exposed to simulated average solar energy of 800W / m2 measured by pyranometer. The air conditioning system is supplied with a 12-volt direct current.
Standards testing
To comply with EC requirements, the SKIMO air conditioner has been tested for electromagnetic compatibility by an approved body (GERAC Electromagnetism - Thales Group). This testing has verified that during operation the SKIMO air conditioner does not emit any electromagnetic interference above the current standards.
